LUXURIOUS MOUNTAIN SAFARI
|
|
Grand Tour with the luxurious air-conditioned minibuses starts with visiting of the village of Lefkara, which is famous for its silver jewels and hand made laces besides the amazing architecture. We will visit an “Olive Shop” in the neighbour village of Skarinou, where you will have an opportunity to try different kinds of olives and olive oil. The shop itself is absolutely dedicated to the products based on olive oil and Mediterranean herbs. From there we will drive outside of the capital Nicosia and head for Troodos mountains range with its extensive natural forests and unique flora and fauna. We also visit one of the main tourist attraction places- Kykkos Monastery, where the miracle icon of Virgin Marry painted by Saint Lucas is kept. Our authorized C.T.O. guide and will give you all detailed information of the history of the richest monastery of the country. The ample time for lunch and walk will be given then at Kakopetria. On the way back we will stop to one of the village wineries where you have a chance to try and buy at wholesale price local wine. Our grand tour is a brilliant possibility to visit the most remarkable places in the mountainous area of Cyprus, and learn about Cypriot life and traditions.

PAPHOS –CURIUM
|
|
This tour will take you back in time to the ancient Greek and Roman civilizations. Passing the Cyprus alleys and citrus gardens we will arrive to the ancient “Kurrium” to see Greek- Roman amphitheatre and the well preserved mosaics. Heading for Pafos we will stop at the Rock of Aphrodite, where according to legend the Goddess of Love and Beauty was born from the sea foam. Here you will have a chance to have a swim in the miracle waters (30 min stop). When we arrive to Kato Paphos, we will visit the catacombs of St. Solomoni and the Pillar of St. Paul. Later we will take you for a round the picturesque Paphos Harbour. The tour continues with a visit of the House of Dionysus, a Roman Villa with beautiful floor mosaics depicting scenes from Greek mythology. Ample time will be given for lunch. Alternatively, at a small extra cost, you can visit the Paphos Aquarium, which houses an amazing range of see and fresh water fish. Finally, we will pass by the 9th century Basilica of St. Paraskevi and stop to Yeroskipou village try the famous Cypriot delights “Loukoumia”.

TROODOS – HOLLY MONASTERY OF KYKKOS
|
|
This is a memorable day off the beaten track, through idyllic mountain villages unchanged form generations. On the way to the Troodos Mountains we will stop to one of those picturesque villages- village of Lania to have a look at the traditional handcrafts and to try some local village wine. We pass just below the Mount Olympus – the highest point of Cyprus, with an attitude of 1951 meters- and take in the panoramic views from Troodos Square. We head for “Throni”, to see the Tomb of Archbishop Makarios 3, the first President of Cyprus. Enjoy the spectacular views of the countryside and the pine forest we will drive to the famous Holly Monastery of Kykkos, built in 1092 and dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The Monastery houses one of the three surviving icons painted by St. Luke. A break for lunch will be taken in a nearby restaurant. On the way back we also have a stop next to the Monastery of Troditissa, which has an amazing panoramic view.

NICOSIA –LEFKARA -LARNACA
|
|
Visit the only divided capital in the world. We enter Nicosia by driving along the Green Line, the capital’s dividing line. Passing by the newly restored Famagusta Gate, we proceed to the Archbishop’s Palace where we visit St. John’s Cathedral. We then travel to the city centre and visit the Byzantine Museum with its priceless and fascinating collection of icons and paintings. Our tour continues to the shopping centre and picturesque old quarter of “Laiki Yitonia”, where you will have time for lunch and a stroll around the charming winding alleys lined with shops and galleries. We leave Nicosia and drive you to the village of Lefkara, which is famous for its handmade “lefkaritika” laces and silverware. It’s said that Leonardo da Vinci visited the village and bought an altar cloth, which he donated to the Milan Cathedral. Also we will visit St.Lazarus Church in Larnaca.

FAMAGUSTA : HISTORY AND CULTURE
|
|
After the passport control at the checking point of Vryssoules we will enter Famagusta. A short drive will take us along the line, which separates the deserted “Ghost” part from the main town. We will then lead for the old city of Famagusta which is encircled by the historical walls, dating back to mediaeval times. They are also referred to in one of the well- known Shakespeare's plays “Othello”. The largest medieval Gothic style building in Famagusta, -St. Nicolas cathedral commenced in 1300 AD is our next destination. From Famagusta we will drive to the first Hellenic civilisation settlement of the island - Salamina - the capital of Cyprus as far back as 1100 B.C. You will be given time to walk around and to have a look the impressive well preserved amphitheatre and Gymnasium. And finally we will visit the tomb of Apostle Varnavas – the inventor of Christianity in Cyprus. The participants have to carry their valid passports with them

FOLLOWING APHRODITE
|
|
On the way to Paphos we will stop at the Rock of Aphrodite (Petra tou Romiou), where according to legend the Goddess of Love and Beauty was born from the sea foam. Here you will have a chance to have a swim in the miracle waters (40 min stop). From there we will head for the Temple of Aphrodite at the village of Kouklia, where we will visit the local museum and have a walk around to see the remains of the wall, which are believed to have been part of the wall surrounding the sacred precinct with the altar of Aphrodite. Moving on towards the Akamas peninsula we will stop for lunch at the tavern. Then we will visit the bath of Aphrodite, where the Beauty used to bath with her lover Adonis. On the way back we will stop to one of the wineries where you have a chance to try some premium local wine. A great experience not to be missed!

VILLAGE SELECTION

This memorable day will start from a visit of the female monastery Agia Thekla, which was created by Elena (mother of Emperor Constantine). We will have a chance to wash faces in Holy Water Spring, which help against eye- and skin- sicknesses. Then we will have coffee break in new restored old village Pera. Going among pine mountainsides we reach unique old village Fikardou, which UNESCO protect as World culture heritage. We continue our way in one of great monasteries of XII-century Macharias, which was based on that place where St.Neophitos found an icon of Virgin Maria. We will make some photos of beautiful views at Konia (high top of Eastern Troodos area). Delicious village meze, wine and special Cypriot desert – boureki will meet us in restaurant Maria in Vavatsinia. On the back way we will stop in village Lefkara, which is famous for its silver jewels and hand made laces besides the amazing architecture. We will stop in Savva Morozov house that to taste Cypriot coffee and loukoumia–national desert or to make some buyings. We will also visit an “Olive Shop” in the neighbour village of Skarinou, where you will have an opportunity to try different kinds of olives and olive oil. The shop itself is absolutely dedicated to the products based on olive oil and Mediterranean herbs.

BOAT SAFARI
|
|
Join us on the full day excursion on our well-equipped speed glass bottom boat (toilet, tent, comfortable seats, music etc). We will start off the day from the picturesque Larnaca marina and will first go among the Larnaca coastline to the beautiful Red cliffs – the inhabitant area of eagles. We will next stop to the fishing farm in the open sea, where the Cypriot delicatessen fishes “Tzipura” is bred. Afterwards the boat will pass from the famous natural harbor of “Potamos” taking a chance to see the traditional fisherman’s boats. Going among amazing white sandy beaches of Ayia Napa sliding on the incredible crystal clear blue waters we reach a complex of sea caves, called “Pirate Caves” as they were used in the ancient times by pirates and smugglers. If the sea is calm enough, the boat enters one of the Pirate caves. We next go under the natural Rock Bridge heading for the “Sea Palace” caves built of stalactites and stalagmites which were melting together. Our next stop is Cavo Grekko – the furthest southeastern point of the island. Leaving behind the Cape we stop at one of the bays for some swimming, snorkeling and feeding fishes for about 40 min. For some adventurous we go to Ayii Anargiri area, where you can try cliff diving (jumping). We then whisk you off across Protaras Bay to view and to get the information about the “Ghost City” of Famagusta. Lunch, wine and soft drinks will be served on one of the stops and is Included in the price. Also the masks for snorkeling are provided. *The program of the safari can be slightly changed according to the weather conditions.

ADVENTURE BOAT SAFARI
|
|
This afternoon boat safari the adventurous persons will especially enjoy. It gives you the chance to explore the mysterious sea caves and grottos, fantastic wave-cut coast formations as well as to observe the underwater life through the glass bottom. We will start off the trip from the “Fig Tree Bay” in Protaras and will first lead for Famagusta – former “Perl of Mediterranean“. Our jet boat will whisk you then across the Protaras bay and will stop to Ayii Anargiri cave with a little white church on the top of it. The rock above the cave is considered to be the ideal spot for cliff divers. Our trip will continue towards the famous Blue Lagoon and on the way we will stop to the “Shark Mouth” Rock and the beautiful stone formation called “Lovers Bridge”. We will have a long stop at the “Blue Lagoon”, where you have will have a possibility to swim in the crystal clear water, to snorkel and to feed the numerous fishes. From there we will head for the gorgeous Cape of Grekko – 150meters high rock – the most south- eastern point of the island. Going around the cape we will reach the impressive “Sea Palace Caves” made of stalactites and stalagmites and the “Pirate Caves” of Ayia Napa, which are believed to be used by smugglers in the ancient time. On the way back we will pass under the stone bridge and will go open waters to search for dolphins and sea turtles. Our safari will end in Protaras, from where the bus will take you back to the hotels. The program of the excursion can be changed depending of the weather conditions.

RELAXING CRUISE & OCTOPUS FISHING

Enjoy a day out at sea fishing, swimming, relaxing and admiring the view of the Larnaca coastline. Our experienced fishermen will help you catch octopus the traditional way. All fishing equipment and masks are provided. Lunch on board is included in the price and combines Cypriot homemade seafood and wine or soft drinks.

SHARK FISHING
|
|
This day will start at the early morning when busses will deliver us to the Larnaca Marine. At the good equipped boat with friendly team we will go in to the open sea. After training by experienced captain - fishermen we will try to catch deep-water fish. All fishing equipment and masks are provided. If fortune will bless us we can catch even a shark or tune. Don’t forget to make some photos of harvest! We can stop our boat to swim and dive in crystal clear water of Mediterranean Sea. Snacks and drinks will be offered on the boat.

SUNSET CRUISE & MAGIG DANCING WATERS
|
|
On board this private cruiser enjoy the chilled glass of champagne and delicious snacks. Chill out with soft relaxing music and the gentle breeze as we cruise in the sparkling clear waters of the Mediterranean. Relax on the teak deck or inside the cabin as we glide through the calm waters until we drop anchor 1-2 miles out to spot the dolphins, swim and watch the spectacular sunset. We return to Fig Tree bay along the beautiful coastline passing by small beaches guttering in the moonlight. Afterwards we will visit famous show of dancing waters in Protaras, where during the dinner you will enjoy the fantastic show.

Our journey will take us through the beautiful surroundings of the village of Skarinou. We invite you to our farmhouse which is located in the ever green surroundings of citrus groves. At the farm you have a chance to learn about Cypriot village life ad home-making of wine, Halloumi, Zivania, olive oil etc. There is plenty of time to make round of the farm to visit the agricultural museum within and to see the local animals and birds, the wild herbs and trees and to taste fresh fruits. We will continue our trip on the donkeys back along the shadowy olive alleys. On return to the farm a finger licking barbeque dinner with wine will be served. After the dinner a folklore dancing show will begin. You should definitely join the “Sirtaki” lesson and the dancing competitions!

At the farm you have a chance to learn about Cypriot village life ad home-making of wine, Halloumi, Zivania, olive oil etc. there is plenty of time to make round of the farm and see the local animals, birds, the wild herbs and trees and to taste fresh fruits. On return to the farm house join the wine tasting. A barbeque dinner will be served. After the dinner a dancing show will begin. Don’t miss the competitions and “Sirtaki” lesson. We start off the day with visiting our donkey’s farm, located in the beautiful surroundings of citrus groves next to the village of Skarinou. After the little lesson you will have a donkey’s ride and on return to the farm try fresh fruits and learn about local animals, trees and herbs. An ample time will be given to make a round of the village complex.
