Golf
Combining sea, sun, green and a perfect climate Cyprus is an ideal location for golf all year round. Clubhouses with 18 hole golf courses, practice facilities, and individual lessons are all on offer to today’s demanding golfers. Three golf courses operate on the island:
1) Tsada Golf Club: The club is situated near Tsada village 20 minutes drive, north of Pafos town in the grounds of a 12th century monastery. It is an 18 hole course created by Donald Steel, it plays to a par 72 all green and measures 6060 m.
2) The Secret Valley Golf Club: It is located 18 km east of Pafos and 49 km from Lemesos, near "Petra tou Romiou". The legendary birthplace of Aphrodite. Is is an 18 hole course, plays to a Par 71 and measures 5.904m.
3) Aphrodite Hills: A 18-hole international standard golf course - plays to a par 71/70 and measures 6,269 m - and club house located near the birthplace of Aphrodite in Pafos has been operating since October 2002. Aphrodite Hills also offers spa treatments.
4) New professional golf courses are under construction in the area of Larnaka, and it is planed to be ready by 2010.
